Expertise
Anabrid is an expert for computer architectures and a recognized global leader for Analog-Digital-Hybrid Computing. This page provides an entry-point to get a glimpse on our technological knowledge.
Anabrids IP stack
Anabrids Intellectual Property (IP) stack focusses mainly on our Hardware IP, which we refer to as Analog Computational Core IP. This is seperated in the
- Discrete Core IP: The circuits and concepts of products such as REDAC
- CMOS Integrated IP: The circuits of our chip-level integrated computers such as G-PAC. The majority of our patent families are based in CMOS Integrated IP.
Furthermore, we have significant Software IP in tersm of our Analog Sofware Stack. This includes both Open Source Foundations building blocks released and maintained by anabrid next to a one-of-a-kind (propietary) compiler architecture which allows to automatically map computational problems on our hardware architectures. In terms of products, see for instance our Simulator Suite for an entrance point.
We also have in-house Application IP: We have unique approaches to solve grand computational problem classes such as quadratic unconstrained binary optimization problems (QUBO) or differential equations (DEQs). Typically, this knowledge is either published in scientific assets or kept as trade secret.
Knowledge handling
One of anabrids most valuable assets are our international patent families. See for instance https://patents.google.com/?q=anabrid for a first glance. There is a number of patents pending and not yet public visible, yet available on request.
In particular some discrete circuits, proprietary codes and applications are not patentable. We sometimes keep these information as trade secrets.
Open Source and Publications
Anabrid strongly believes in Science and Research, see there for relevant publications. For patentable ideas, typically a scientific publication follows the patent to present aspects to the scientific community.
Anabrid also strongly supports Open Source culture and practice. We believe that an open ecosystem can make a big difference in the adoption of our technology and we feel confirmed by the open culture in AI development. Our main release and interaction channel for open source work is our Github profile at https://github.com/anabrid. At anabrid, we do not only make open source software but also open hardware products such as The Analog Thing. We try to support the community building around our open products as much as possible as part of our social committment.
